we have a place around here called "pete's fresh market." i love it. it's got your typical groceries, but also half the store is purely international, with a different aisle for a different culture.
pete's is solid. i thought beyond the standards it was strictly a supermercado though.

had to do a quick run to TJ today for some fruit and they had chili crunch back in stock so i bought 2 bottles

Went to a Sam's Club today to activate a membership given to me by a family member. It feels empty in there, despite the quantities from floor to ceiling. The whole time I was feeling pretty bad about my place in the industrial food complex but did get some good deals on raisins, almonds and summer shorts.

I think I'll stick to Aldi for pantry staples, michoacana for meat, and HEB or H-Mart for produce
