Same. I tried and failed to get tickets to these, and the rain delay and relatively unexciting setlists make me feel glad I didn't cave and pay something ridiculous on Stubhub.
Dump the covers, go back indoors.

Solid shows, Ed's voice gets better as the night progresses (does he warm up at all?), and I agree that the Cubs thing is played out (and Monday night shows in Chicago in general). I knocked a few oldies off my "needed to see" list, too.
The long camera shot on a "Vedder 10" Cubs jersey-guy near the end of the show ... don't encourage that, it should be shunned.

Same thing on Saturday night. That is a different level of fandom.

Did you guys see that one person holding the hideous art of Ed throwing the tambourine? That needs to be shared here somehow.

Night One was a great setlist save the two slow songs to start the encore.

That was particularly terrible - and it was on the big screen a few times!

Drop a few of the covers
Take out Rain/Hatred/Patriot and play Faithful, Anything off Binaural and LBC or Save You
Changes the show
They really need to start respecting binaural and riot act more. It does make me sad they rarely play any of it.
Throw Your Hatred down was a fucking highlight for me in Missoula. That can stay.

I think this would make a great template for their next record: Big, open chords, just hitting them hard and letting Matt bash out a simple beat while Ed sings about waves over the music. Or maybe they should just do another record with Neil.
Either way, they're in a good position to write more songs in this nature.
Yeah, I def wanna hear Throw Your Hatred Down.

Do you remember during which songs? People tend to record the screens.

While I am sick of covers Hatred was great. Wouldn’t mind it again in Boston

No - it was on it early, but I didn't know what was all going on in "artistic" "representation." Later in the show there was a better view - Eddie tossing a tambourine with his right hand looking directly at you. It was unsettling.

I get that we’re talking about a bunch of dudes who are used to mist and drizzles, but one of these years they’ll figure out how thunderstorms work and won’t play Wrigley during the middle of th summer

Maybe the next album will be co-written by the Ten Club

I hope this happening again made them realize the fucking hassle of these outdoor stadium shows and just go back to.....doing whatever else they do these days.
