It's pretty funny. But we need better memes if we're ever to touch the dizzying heights of nonchalant pistol uncle from the summer games.

The curling scandal has been fun. It’s hilarious how the Megyn Kelly’s of the world are jumping all over it with “Canada cheats!”
I’m no curling expert, but from what I gather, it’s a violation to make contact with the granite after release (he says he didn’t actually touch it). A violation is not cheating. That would be like saying an offside in hockey is cheating. It’s a violation and you get a penalty. So if it was a violation, the rock should have been pulled (and the Canadian team still would have had enough points to win)

Another 3 point game for McJesus.

Watched a couple hours of speed skating last night. The relay races are especially entertaining. I don’t know how all those skaters on that little rink aren’t constantly smashing into each other. Organized chaos.

Very stressful event to watch. Pins and needles. Plus you could crash and literally cut someone’s throat. Spooky.

Team pursuit is also fucked. Clipping each others skates trying not to eat it.

a hockey player did get killed this way a couple years ago. they even made the guy who's skate cut him accidentally stand trial which was completely inhumane.

That Canucks vs. Czechs game was completely insane. Both teams were really damn good.

I felt nothing even though it was fun to watch All these guys just head back to the states and continue for the cup, which feels bigger to them than winning olympic gold. Especially now that they do this four nations bullshit.
Bring back amateurs!
Oh and Go USA! Quinn for the Winn

I'm not sure but IIRC he didn't stand trial, but in the UK there's a lower bar for someone to get arrested when an investigation is open.

USA and Canada trading golds for the last ~20 years is pretty epic tho. Quite the rivalry.

Can't believe that piece of shot Gudas injured Crosby.
The only thing that makes me nervous about Canada's team is the goal-tending. USA have the best goalie in the world. We didn't even bring the best one we have.
