Yep. See You Are, Cropduster, Unemployable, and Army Reserve.
I would much rather see Matt Cameron try to match himself to Pearl Jam
That's what he's already been doing been doing and look where it got them.
I don't get the sense he's trying very hard unless he's simply an incompetent drummer...

They don't have to rage out, but they could try having a groove to their music again like they used to instead of just playing fast and dry...

Seems to me Matt Cameron hasn't tried to capture PJ's sound at all and is just doing his own thing. They met in the middle somewhere awkwardly.

bodysnatcher wrote:I don't know why people want them to go back to sounding like they did in 1994. First of all, as musicians, they don't want to do that. The whole point is to grow and discover as a musician. Sure, there's crap that comes along with that. But this band would have ended 15 years ago had they stuck with that formula.

And I don't know about you guys, but I really don't wanna hear 50 year old dudes trying to rage it out like they did when they were 25-30

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Regardless they are still playing the old hits...just a lot worse

I dont think Matt Cameron is an incompetent drummer...

I also don't think he's trying very hard to match Pearl Jam's style.

Fuck Pearl Jam's "style." Their "style" is what is ruining them. They need to think outside the box, and the answer is Matt Cameron.

Listened to Severed Hand today and yesterday.

He plays the drums and makes circles out of the sounds of them

Anyone know if Matt has a Twitter account? I can't find a verified one and I've got a question for him.

It's so strange to me how many praises the band gives Brendan OBrien, and how he gets them to work in the studio. And then the end product is just... underwhelming.
