But I still think this show will end up being my fave. I think it's gonna turn around fast. But these first two episodes are... Not great.

It probably doesn't help that I watched the first 3 episodes of Ahsoka (some of the best SW to date) earlier today in preparation.
WTF?

“I hate it, but it’s my favorite”? What happens with content you actually enjoy?
I think he’s saying he really likes the premise, and hopes that will be enough for it to be great.

Narrator: “It won’t be.”

Yeah, this thing has so much pedigree and potential. I was surprised how little these first two episodes did for me. But there's a lot of show left. We'll see what happens.

Second episode was worlds better with the addition of Manny Jacinto. He just crackles with energy and is a wonderful screen presence. Bortles!
Co-sign.

Except for the end of ep two which was terrible and abrupt. I thought someone was wrong with the stream until the credits started.

Really both episode endings felt tacked on and rushed and awkward. The pace of this show is weird so far.

I agreed to watch this with a friend tonight. I haven’t had a drink in nearly a year, but I’m not sure it can survive this.

Cover your eyes at the end of episode 2 when the Transformers suddenly show up.

Happy to see that between this and Captain America reshoots, it sounds like Disney has learned precisely zero lessons.

The blowback on this makes wanna see it. Jedis using gender neutral pronouns? In a beat to death IP that’s something we haven’t seen before.

Do we hate this? I like it. Of course, I didn't need it to be anything other than a story in the Star Wars universe that I hadn't heard before.

Sorry to make wild, sweeping assumptions.
This is by far the biggest letdown in modern Star Wars canon so far

Both true statements.

My expectations where sky high and this hasn't yet met them (there's still 6 more episodes to go!). Let's give it time. A lot of people were meh about Andor after the first 3 episodes.

In all seriousness though, Andor rocked so I’d love to see something redefine elements of the story along those lines

Saw a clip of one of the characters delivering another character's backstory to that character as though she didn't already know it, because this is the only way hacks know how to deliver exposition to the audience. This is Z grade stuff and you should be deeply ashamed for even giving it a chance.

I'm all out of shame at this point.

It was so bad that the character pointed it out when it was happening.

I was kinda excited when this seemed like it might be a Jedi detective mystery.

I figured as long as they didn’t brush the mystery aside and reveal that the show was actually just about another guy who dresses in black and waves a red light saber, we’d be fine.

Didn’t exactly blow the hair back.
Its main problem is most of the casting choices and performances among the secondary characters makes the whole thing feel very amateur. Stiff to overwrought.
We’re in now though so let’s hope it’s improves and is worth it.
