Re: Why was Stoner's thread deleted?
Stoner's thread was pretty dumb though. If it was my board I would almost want to delete it just because I'd feel embarrassed about it.

But then I think I would be tempted to remember the subjectivity of the situation.Dev wrote:Stoner's thread was pretty dumb though. If it was my board I would almost want to delete it just because I'd feel embarrassed about it.

You misunderstood me. I've said this during sex, verbatim.

What’s this about attempting to create a travel subforum? I don’t believe it.E.H. Ruddock wrote:We’ve literally told you many times. This isn't about being mad that a silly porn quote thread got deleted, really. It's just an attempt at a dialog using the latest two examples of questionable modding.
Anyway back to the part about where we’re all a bunch of 40-somethings, it is good to know someone is here to shelter us from reading about yucky things on the internet. This safe space that is RMica is truly invaluable.

I'm just gonna push back on this a little. There was total transparency about what happened with GD.washing machine wrote:I think a lot of the frustration with the lack of transparency should be taken with the current RM climate in consideration. Some just didn't like what they heard. And needed to invent conspiracies about it. But it's unfair to say it wasn't transparent.

Don't you think the reason people cant accept that answer has a little bit to do with numerous other instances of over-modding in the past, a lot of which is now at the risk of being memory-holed due to said forum deletion?
If you are less conspiracy theory minded but still concerned, don't you think there's just a little bit of righteous anger about just losing a decade long part of the board's essence, just like that?
I think that's the context here, and the reason this conversation should happen from time to time.
