Everything I've heard from this song so far sounds horrifically bad. I hope the album's only low point and something I can replace with a DM b-side that emerges down the road. I really don't mind when Ed goes sentimental, hell I think I'm in the minority when it comes to enjoying something like Sirens. This one just makes me cringe

I'll probably be in the minority around here by preferring this to Sirens. This one seems like it's at least true to what it is. Sirens, on the other hand, could have been something way cooler than they made it -- it bugs me that they cheesed up what could have been an epic tune.

I almost love sirens. Still really like it. I just think Mike's solo was a little underwhelming.

We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

Yeah can agree the solo especially on Sirens is pretty cheesy, I still dig the overall execution and lyrical direction

2 out of 5 stars for the 30 second clip
Yeah but Sarge did this one and he's never around to yell at so we just let it go.
I have no idea what I'm doing at the best of times.

Just wish Ed wouldn’t save his best pop offerings for his solo work.

The 30 second clip is enough for me to know I would much prefer this on Earthling and have Mrs. Mills in its place here.

I like the guitar part that comes in at the 0:16 mark. It sounds a bit ragged, which is perfect for this kind of song.

So out of all of the reviews that were released, Something Special appears to be the only song getting any negative reception. Is that right?

One reviewer praised SS while saying WFS and Got To Give were merely “listenable” :|

Ha! Interesting. Well that is only one reviewer. All I was getting from other reviews is that it is the weak link. I still want to hear the full track to get an opinion on it though. Who knows it may be a grower. I like the snippet of Wreckage much more.

So i wasn't expecting this from the clips but this really reminds me of some of Oasis early material - Diggsy's Dinner, She's Electric sort of stuff.
