I could easily listen to that drum only outro for 10 minutes.

This may be my favorite song since Sleight of Hand. Just perfect.

Genius delivery of "...easy left me a long time ago." Chilling. Then that gorgeous guitar. The drums. The best use of keys they've ever made, IMO.
This song should just go on and on. It could easily be twice as long without getting boring in the least.

It's got a huge amount of potential for extending live, even having audience interaction over the drums, or a tag like Daughter.

I'm going on a 2 month roadtrip in March, and I can imagine myself driving down a desert road with this blasting out.

I think this would make a great breather in the middle of an intense encore.

They opened Pittsburgh with Pendulum! That's fucking awesome. Can't wait to hear it.

Matt live

Matt's not the issue with this one live, surprisingly. The issue is that they'd need a bunch of percussionists to play all the overdubbed stuff if they wanted to reproduce the album version.

It would help if Ed would play the tambourine pattern, though. It's so typical that he bangs a tambourine when there's no point, but when it's a crucial part of the song it's not there...

It's the straight high hat hits through the intro. These are grown add men who should know how to tap their feet.

My favorite drum part is the rotating beats on the tambourine. He is hitting it straight live where he could easily mixed it up a little bit.
All in all it sounded good but a couple little things irk me .

Oh, yeah, that. I totally agree. That pisses me off about lots of his live stuff. TAP TAP TAP loudly. It's a big auditorium, so it needs to be heard by the rest of the band, but I don't know why he can't count in with sticks, or as you say, after all this time, why Ed can't just count them all in.

Also his bloody snare drum tone isn't right, again. I generally like the snares on this album (other than on MYM) but he still has to have them all tuned down live
