It's such a likeable song. When was the last time a pearl jam song was this likeable?

I think All Those Yesterdays would be my choice. I would take Soldier of Love over LK anyday too.stip wrote:probably. I think this is more likeable than ATY, but that's another good choice.

How many songs on here do you think are crap? Wouldn't that be one less good one, if this was a secret track? Is there an album left?Lounge Lizard wrote:This one should have been a hidden track.

That's why I think it could stay as a hidden track. Like a funny little number. Like that jewish dance they did at the end on Yield. Something like that.

My reaction was to your desciption of Hummus as a "jewish dance."Lounge Lizard wrote:Why not? I think it fits this comparisonEJ wrote:Lounge Lizard wrote: Like a funny little number. Like that jewish dance they did at the end on Yield.

Good to hear that you can tolerate most of it, though.

I know it's not. I did not mean it in a disrespectful way either.
I just like to picture a bunch of guys in round hats and sleeveless jackets dancing in a circle, clapping hands and saying muzzle tov to each other after each bow

Getaway - cool
MYM - great
MFS - excellent
Infallible - good
Pendulum - fantastic
Yellow Moon - excellent
I don't care much about the rest, although some of them are really good in their own way. But they don't sound like Pearl Jam. Or not what I want Pearl Jam to sound like.

That's a fair assessment. I try to remember that with every album, there has been the sense that they haven't sounded exactly as I wanted them to.Lounge Lizard wrote:Tolerate?harmless wrote:Lounge Lizard wrote:This one and FD. Of course it should. LTRP finishes the "rock" side of the album (by sounding like T.Rex, who were once a folk band), giving way to the final three songs, all variations on folk songs. And the relative seriousness of "Yellow Moon" bridges the cheese on either side. What do they say the moon is made of?
