it's totally bizarre that, given james gunn's involvement, anyone thought this movie would be "dumb"

Sorry, Burt. I don't anticipate seeing this in the theater. I'm gloriously free.

I will probably be forced to watch it at home, I suppose, but I literally never sit down for a movie when I watch at home. I hate sitting still. I almost cant do it. I sort of wander in and out of the room, never fully giving a shit about what's going on. But at least I dont ask that you catch me up.

I walk when I eat, too.

I'm the same lately. If I don't see it in a theater, it's probably a lost cause. Unless it's really good.

I find it harder and harder to pay movie theater ticket prices as time goes on. The movie watching experience is almost always better on my couch.

I'll only go to a theater at weird times when they are mostly empty. But my friends act like Saturday at 7 is the only time to go. Pure torture.

same thing with my wife. i used to love to go to packed movies...when i was young.

now i'm getting old and grumpy. people munching on their popcorn annoys the hell out of me. and, i always seem to sit in front of the person that kicks my seat from start to finish.

I go to the movies about once a week. Like Burt, I usually go in the middle of the day, but will sometimes go on Saturday nights if it's a movie my girlfriend wants to see and can't go any other time.

This is the movie theater I always go to when I'm back in Colombia.

Of course, we're talking regular weeks, not festivals.

Are those reserved seats? I was highly annoyed to find that pretty much everywhere in the UK is unreserved, which just adds to the fun. Want a good seat for a popular film? Line up an hour before it begins.

Yup, reserved seating. Thank goodness. Not sure why this hasn't caught on in the US either.

A couple of places in Austin do it I think. It's expensive though.

Somehow Colombia, of all places, has been able to build really nice, extremely comfortable state-of-the-art movie theaters while still keeping ticket prices lower than the average American multiplex.
