I think I've balanced my tonearm and anti-skating correctly. If all sounds well, then all probably is well...right?

We'll call that 'character.'

You could have a $2000 setup, but it's going to sound like shit if your records aren't clean!

Does that thing get your records any cleaner than investing in a good brush kit? How much did it set you back?

Significantly better results than just a brush. It's basically a wet-vacuum for your records that sucks the dirt out of the grooves with the help of a the cleaning fluid.
On some 2nd hand LPs it's literally like you just took a blanket off your speakers. At the very least the removes any pops/clicks that you may hear inbetween tracks or during quiet passages.
I bought mine second hand for around $300.

Wanna go in on one together?! We can go halfsies and ship it back and forth. or find a middle state rest area to keep it and we could do record cleaning meetups!

I cant wait till im all grown up. Maybe have a wife and a kid. have a nice basement for the kids to play with. maybe the wife has a little room off there somewhere to do some reading or writing, or sewing, or masturbating. Whatever women like to do these days.
And then for me : I have a nice room. Filled with awesome posters and music artwork. A massive wall to wall record collection. Maybe need a rolling ladder so as to access all I want. And one of those record washers. And maybe a Spaniard behind the bar serving me beverages and lighting my cigars.

I, too, have a masturbatory fantasy involving an entire room of wall-to-wall records. Mine is probably a basenent room and also includes a pool table

My collection fantasies involve a listening room adjacent to a state of the art kitchen, equipped with mounted speakers.

Funny how when I think of the ultimate "man cave", I think of a big leather sofa in the middle of a room with records and an awesome stereo. Basically, when I grow up (I'm in my mid-30's), I want to be the guy on the Maxell blank tape wrapper.

Not even that into M. Ward, but this sounds cool. Looks like I've got another discography to try and collect!
