Just finished the season. Was a little worried at the beginning because I thought the first Lindsey and both George Sr. episodes were subpar, but the rest of the season was excellent. Looking forward to rewatching.
- Spoiler: show
- Best line of the season:
Lucille to Tobias: Hello Anus Tart
Ron Howard: And she hadn't even seen the license plate

- That was great. I think my favorite line was
"Daddy needs to get his rocks off"

I'm going to watch it for a second time straight through. Then I'll figure out how I want to watch in a good out of order way.

Been trying to log in so I can watch the first couple episodes. After a few tries I got "experiencing technical diffulculties" screen. Looks like it's not going as smoothly now that the holiday weekend is over.

I loved Tony Wonder's voicemail. A good job by Ben Stiller in this season.

I've got two episodes left, loving this season. My girlfriend hadn't seen it so I've rewatched a few and there's a lot of great stuff packed in, I was laughing so hard the second time around. I love how fucked up they all are too. Very happy how this turned out.

I think I have a crush on Maeby.

I sure hope this does end up leading to more.
I know Mitch has talked a lot about it being the first third of a new 3-part storyline (I still think a movie would prove to be a bad format for AD....I'd be happy to be proven wrong), but he's also toned down a lot of his "after this one is done" speak since filming wrapped. I assume a lot of that has to do with the fact that it was so hard to make the casting work, even with the very broad and disjointed way he set up the storyline. It sounds like he had to make some compromises and weave some magic just to get things to work.
My hope is that he'll have an easier time getting people to commit time now, since he's shown everyone that it isn't some hugely disappointing "remember how funny we used to be?" nostalgiafest. And I can understand why some of the actors involved might have been skeptical going in....not a lot about "let's just start up again almost a decade later" sounds like its built for anything but embarrassment...but confidence should be a little higher, now.
Really, getting a fourth season that is as good as this one was is way more than I'd hoped for, and should be enough all by itself...my reason for crossing fingers is far sillier than that.
See, if this ends up being the end, then it's such an unbelievable downer end. Even for a show that is as surreal as this one, with characters as terrible and incapable of happy endings as these people are, it's pretty dark. I mean, that last scene pretty much sums up how it went for every character in the show. I know this show could never have a simple and heart-warming send-off...that'd be way out of place and dissatisfying...but this isn't quite the ending I hope for, either.

Watched through episode 8, and will probably watch 9, 10, and maeby 11 too.
Things are starting to come together nicely, and I definitely like the 2nd Lindsey episode (Red Hairing) better than "New Start".
The GOB episode is probably my favorite so far, but I wonder if that'll be the case after a 2nd viewing.

I will probably write a paper on this season re: faces. It's been absolutely fascinating to watch that trope develop, and I'm interesting to see where it goes (I only have 2 episodes left).

"Overpower me!"
*throws her down*
"Yes! Make me cry!"
"You're a terrible mother."
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

About halfway through this....GOB's first episode was absolutely fucking hilarious. I can respect the approach of the one-character-per-episode approach, but damn was I waiting for the types of laughs only GOB can deliver.

Part of me really thinks this is one of the most impressively done things in television history.

Only 6 episodes in, but as good as I expected. I can't get enough of Barry Zuckerkorn. "Want me to tell Ron Howard to go F*** himself, because I'll tell Ron Howard to go F*** himself, I'll tell him to shove it up his A**"

I need to start from the beginning. Are the older seasons on Netflix?
