The Best Day and Psychic Hearts are the best from Moore´s solo output.
Trees... and Demolished are good efforts though.

I've listened to it multiple times now. It's fucking great. I probably like Goo slightly better at this point. But you can't really go wrong with either.

I saw them open for the Flaming Lips a couple years ago at a local fair. The crowd ignored them, much to my surprise, but they were fucking awesome anyway. My buddy has seen them a dozen times and he said it was the best of all the performances he's seen.

By virtue of luck I managed to snag not one but two Sonic Youth setlists (both from Thurston), the last two times I saw them. Oh, and I got to bang on the neck of Thurston's guitar at the end of "Schizophrenia" during the show in 2006. That might have been one of the top 10 or so moments of my life.

This was pretty cool, too:



I miss the hell out of this band, but I think they went out at the right time. They really didn't seem to have much left to say, and they went out without even remotely embarrassing themselves (well, at least musically). They have always been and will always be an inspiration.
