Jones and Zusi out tomorrow. It would be nice to see Joe Corona get a start.
The decision to play in Seattle, but bring in grass to roll over the turf seems strange to me. If it rains like it might (Seattle), things could turn into a sloppy mess.

I remember temporary grass being a major problem in a game one time in recent years, I cant remember if it was Gillette, the Meadowlands, or somewhere else, though.

A win next week against Honduras and you can punch the ticket to Brazil. I know it was Panama, but USMNT played some pretty sexy soccer at times tonight.
Meanwhile, Mexico can't score and they are calling for the coach's head.
Life is good

Impressive win. The first goal was a thing of beauty. Plus, I have to commend the fans who attended the game in Seattle. Well done. They should hold all qualifiers there.

Hell of a game yesterday. I loved the style and the overall play. I like this team when they play with intensity and pace.
They should play a lot more national team games in Seattle, treat it like a US Azteca, just improve the field next time. I'd love to go see any game there.

That was some goddamn nice soccer last night. Both goals came off solid if not excellent movement and passing, and how many times can we say that about the goals the US have scored in the past?
I was impressed. I really like Klinsmann's use of fullbacks and wide midfielders. Each position is filled with midfielders with serious speed, making interchanging runs down the boundary line. They create width, and open up a lot of space for everyone else.
The US, with so many athletes, should be fielding beasts at these wide positions anyway.

I've always had a soft spot for the US team. I can only take my hat off to fans in a country of baseball, American football and Basketball. Sadly we have the opposite problem, so the fans get screwed over...

The last 3 games have been exactly what I was salivating over everytime they mentioned Klinsmann as a potential coach. Finally, after looking so crappy since he got here they are playing exciting, attacking soccer. Seattle should host all competitive home matches from now on, I dont care if their grass sucks. That was a LEGIT crowd last night.

Maybe this was the plan all along. Lull everyone into a false sense of security with boring football and incompetent management and then when everyone lease expects it BAM World Cup.

I think finally playing with two forwards is the biggest difference.

I've heard we've got the murderers in the emirates cup. Thinking of going down to it now.

Confederation's Cup
I can't wait to see Mexico finish at the bottom of their group. Spain is completely dominating Uruguay right now and i'm going to go out on a limb here and predict they come out on top and win the tournament.

Yeah I'm getting a lot of joy out of how bad Mexico is playing. Do they even have a midfield? Looks like wingers and center-backs is all they have. Oh and Chicharito waiting for the perfect waited cross.
