What's your take on World War Z? Did you read the books it was based off of?
I thought it was a big mess. The terrible pacing and lack of any kind of development in any area of the movie killed it for me. I did not read the book(s).E.H. Ruddock wrote:What's your take on World War Z? Did you read the books it was based off of?

You'd be more pissed if you read the books. There is so much potential for 4 or 5 movies out of the really good story from the books, but they messed that up.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I thought it was a big mess. Yeah, the missed potential definitely stung. That movie could, no, SHOULD have been awesome. What a waste.E.H. Ruddock wrote:You'd be more pissed if you read the books. Even if you just read the plot notes on Wikipedia about the books it will be enough to be disappointed in it.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Yeah, the missed potential definitely stung. You take that Godzilla-dissing out of the LoathedVermin thread, mister.Kaius wrote:You're not missing much.
I think that's actually true. Doesn't matter at all, of course.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Who posted that thing about Godzilla only being seen for eight minutes in the movie? I have a question for them... did they like Cloverfield?
No it doesn't. But if for some reason they liked Cloverfield but not Godzilla... The monster in Cloverfield is in it for what, 30 seconds?LoathedVermin72 wrote:I think that's actually true. And the camera work is so awful. Just horrible.
