Another newie with a melody. This album is shaping up nicely.

The album is out.

Hmm. First listen through and nothing really grabbed my attention at all :\

I like the album but, like The War On Drugs latest album there is absolutely no growth as artist. I think Courtney may be a one trick pony. I like the trick so I like the pony. Jack Johnson has carved out a nearly 20 year career with his trick, so it's not career limiting.

I find the album a little road weary and less whimsical than Sometimes I Sit... but still a decent listen. Looking forward to seeing her in October.

Also, while it clearly doesn't reinvent the wheel, I don't think it's really similar to her last album.

The first half is great. Not heard the second half.

I liked it. But it's not as good as the last record.

This seems to be the general consensus, far as I can tell. I still haven't listened to it.

I'm not sure if I like it better, but I think this album is more interesting musically than the last one. City Looks Pretty and Need A Little Time are my favorites.

I like this new one more each time I listen to it.

I've only listened to the first three songs but I really dig those first three. It reminds me a lot of Liz Phair, which is right up my alley. So far, I like it more than the last record. But, again, it's only three songs.

I've always heard a lot of Liz Phair in Courtney's music, last record too.

I should revisit that record. The LP comp didn't hit me until this record.
