i actually listened to vitalogy last week, and was struck by how phenomenal it still sounded

When im engaged, it clearly is amazing, but the production, the songs, they are somewhat less engaging than anything on binaural or no code.
When did he say that? That's very cool, especially considering I've heard Eddie, Stone and Mike all shit on this record in the past, to some degree.Strat wrote:--- wrote:seriously though, how great is this record? how great were these recording sessions?
I enjoy that Jeff Ament has recently stated it's his favorite record. I can only hope these idiots, once they get over themselves, can all look fondly back on Binaural as the special record it is. Hopefully it's before Mr. Vedder is on his death bed.

I'm pretty sure I've heard all of them say somewhat negative things about it; maybe not that it's bad, but that it's 'okay' or not really a highlight. I have no doubt that the fact that it seems like it was tough to record has an impact on them.Strat wrote:digster wrote:When did he say that? I dont think they've ever shit on it. They just glance over it. Mike and Ed were too fucked up during the recording to respect it. yet. They need some therapy still.
