Just noticed last night that the version of Brother on Music Bank is sans Ann Wilson. It's noticeably not as good.

Wow you're right, never noticed that before but yeah def prefer the original version with Ann. Anyone know why cut her vocal part on the "greatest hits" albums? I noticed on the "Essential Alice In Chains." They also removed the vocal effect from Jerry's voice, indifferent about that. Funny considering they kept Ann on the remastered version of Am I Inside (one of my fav AIC songs, btw).

I'm also partial to the two songs they did for the Last Action Hero soundtrack.

What was on that soundtrack?

When I get the urge to listen to AiC (like now), I usually load up Jar of Flies and add two or three hits from each of the others. There is a lot of crap on those albums, and Layne grates in large doses.

What The Hell Have I
A Little Bitter

The first is stronger than the second but they're both better than the majority of what came after.

So that's where those are from. I really like both of those. The remix of a little bitter from the box is one if my favorite aic songs

Yeah I suppose one could do that, and be technically correct! I hate the way he released the green one, then like 6 months later all of a sudden they put out the brown one Vol 1 and 2 and new tracklisting. Its like voice(from the Live song "Freaks") "You little fucker!" What a rip. Buying a cd two times. Lucky for me I got drunk and broke my vol 1 one high school night so I could justify buying the second one for twice as much. Then I couldn't be cross anymore. Logically.

Regarding Ann Wilson's vocal parts, only thing I can think of is record company permission issues.

I have a new favorite band.

And I blame all of you for not telling me about them sooner.
