Thanks
Here's my progress so far
I've never sculpted anything so this is actually a frightening concept for me. I guess I just really want to be good at skulls so I'm hoping I don't end up carving up a pile of shit.
While I was printing anatomy diagrams last night, I came across this guy.

His skull bracelet is too cool.

We may have to do some horse trading! Let me not fuck it all up first though before we get too engrossed in what could be a fine transatlantic transaction.

Well, this skull has required patience and a series of tools that are hard t come by if i don't order them online. So I high graded some old dental pics around the shop (they come in handy in jewelry applications) as well as some small burs.
I altered the picks and some exacto blades so far, but I still just haven't found "the zone" yet. With fabrication you build, that's easy. With carving, you subtract. It's a challenge. Plus I've never done this before. So I read a couple of articles and just keep reminding myself of one carver's sentiments. "Most of the carving process will feel like amateur hour."
Very primitive looking skull so far with a huge forehead. The teeth are hard to flesh out without a plan. Next time I'll have a plan. This first skull is about learning my process and my process seems to be mostly amateur hour. The forehead and eyes are what I'll be working on this week. They're still mostly flat.

No idea about budgeting & charging for anything like this.
Just hope I have all the time I need.
