So far, this is one of the best episodes I've ever seen. Every sketch has been great. And Barnett's first performance sounded great - tight playing, excellent mixing.

First half was better than the second, but still. Great episode.

Re: Saturday Night Live
You know how the host at the end always thanks the musical guest and anyone not in the cast who appeared on the show that day? So, like, Larry David gets a shout-out when he appears as Bernie. It kind of bugs me that none of the hosts ever thanked Darrell Hammond, despite all the Trump/Bill Clinton appearances. What's that about?

Andy Samberg, too.tragabigzanda wrote:Also, yea, this was a good episode. The Dead Poets spoof was my favorite, and Update continues to get better. Courtney Barnett was awesome. Weird that Carrie Brownstein was in the last sketch and didn't get a single line.

Yeah, I still can't get over how weird that was. A small part of me still wonders if he was doing some kind of subtle bit.VinylGuy wrote:Its been ages since i saw SNL, but im not sure im interested on Fred Armisen anymore since he was such a whiny bitch in the Bret Easton Ellis podcast.
That said, he was fantastic on SNL last night.

I thought so too, but i dont think so. He was so irritated with the fact that Bret didnt liked that Jessica Chastain movie it wasnt even funny.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Yeah, I still can't get over how weird that was. Yeah, I just watched it. Not the best Lonely Island ever, but it made me laugh.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Oh, that sucks! Andy Samberg did it.The Argonaut wrote:Oh shit, i missed that. Re: Saturday Night Live
I had higher hopes for the episode considering it was the season finale. I thought was okay. The Dead Poets spoof only had one joke but it was a funny one. I would have liked to have seen Maya Rudolph used in another sketch. The last bit, with everyone on stage in 70s southern rock costumes was a good set up but it was just a short song?
