honestly, it sounds--to my ears--like a continuation of Gold Record and Shepherd.
also, having listened to a lot of Sometimes I Wish We Were An Eagle lately, it's as if that album, Gold Record, and Shepherd had a three-way.
i love the outro to Naked Souls.

i started this thread! i've heard everything but the new record. i just wondered, since dad has listened to it, 1) if he likes it and 2) where it rate in the universe of bill c records (as opposed to smog, which i think of as both distinct and better).

I liked it quite a bit, but it's only been one listen. I think it's above Gold Record for me, mostly because it's got a more interesting sound. Need to sit with it some more this week.
