While I disagree with you on Bale, I still can't believe someone thought it would be a good idea to have Affleck play Batman.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Bale was a weak Batman and Affleck is a giant pussy.

I actually think he was a great Batman. But his behavior around this whole situation has been utterly spineless.E.H. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
Sounds like a more slobby Bruce Wayne, actually.tragabigzanda wrote:One time I waited on Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. Affleck said, "I'm gonna eat two dozen oysters, if you can believe that." Which he did, while looking completely bored by his station in life. Ms. Garner, on the other hand, was delightful.
Reports of him feeling humiliated by the reception to BvS, and now possibly wanting out of the role, point to that. But getting out of the director's chair makes a lot of sense to me considering how involved the director's role is in addition to starring in it and maintaining the superhero physique. Sounds like a recipe for a complete meltdownLoathedVermin72 wrote:I actually think he was a great Batman. But his behavior around this whole situation has been utterly spineless.E.H. Yeah I get it. He had a string of flops several years back that culminated in the J Lo movie that basically made him a joke for a decade. He somehow clawed his way back to respectability and is probably scared to do anything to go back to where he was. Though if he thinks his gangster movie failed because of blow back from BvS he's deluded.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:i can relatebada wrote:Seems like every time I read something about Ben Affleck it has to do with him being nervous about his career.
