Over-saturation has eaten in to my overall enjoyment. I just realized it last week. Become a total habit/routine. I do think that Bret Easton Ellis' newer episodes have been pretty strong. Probably because only 2-3 a month are released.

This is a huge part of it. But also if I'm spending time listening to something I'd rather it be music than another fucking human in my ear. I get enough of that throughout the day. But seriously, "podcast"

I usually find one I like, listen to 3 or 4 in a row, get annoyed by them, and quit.
They always have little words or mannerisms or dumb questions that start annoying me after awhile. It's not really their fault. I'd hate anyone that talked that much.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

The last 5 minutes of the most recent episode of "Limetown" was incredibly well done; I nearly drove off the road and shit my pants.

I'm really enjoying the first season of 'Start-Up', though it's about a year old now. It's a podcast about starting a podcast company (the company the show is about; so meta). And it very rarely feels like an advertisement for the company. It's an interesting window into this world.
