Friend says 150 confirmed cases on vent in his hospital, ordered 200 more vents but not delivered, at least 3 anesthesiology residents confirmed positive, putting patients in tent outside hospital

Without major MAJOR changes New York is done. I'm not trying be an alarmist or hyperbolic. But living in Brooklyn and seeing the sheer number of people outside living their lives like this is just some kind of long vacation from work is beyond troubling.
And Trump wants to get shit back on track by Easter??? Pfffft.
It's strange to have real, honest, detailed conversations with people under forty about how to prepare for death.

Falwell Jr. is worse than the original, i think. I think Senior might have been a legitimate christian at least. Pretty sure Junior isn't.

I was in our city center today an it was all but a ghost town. All public transport is on a Sunday service. Meaning much fewer services. And they were all empty.
I was glad to see it but looking over at London and New York. It’s just not hitting home at all and it won’t until too late if London is any gauge.

I'd seriously hate to live in an apartment block during this lockdown.
Went to the supermarket this morning and they're only letting 75 people in at a time and trying to ensure people stay a good distance from each other. Old dude in front of me at the checkout didn't give a fuck, right up against the person in front of him coughing away....

It's been different in the past few days, at least the few times I've been out for groceries or a quick walk. When I was out running about a week ago near Prospect Park, it still seemed a bit too crowded in terms of the types of interactions you'd rather not be seeing.
