Re: Dance of the Clairvoyants
Ed is not Jesus and Stone is not the pope. Ed cant dance and isnt clairvoyant. He's a pop-it, not a prophet.
I pledge to be 100% boring and never troll-out again. I will make my interactions here pleasant, like sitting through an agricultural economics class.

I hope they bring back the grunge spirit in Mach IV. I have had enough of this Discovery Channel stuff.
While a Western guitar motif lost on the swings drum bass fusion, get your own thoughts into the subconscious often forgotten. "Pendulum" is a sweeping soul from the ballast.

In order to fit the song properly, doesnt there need to be multiple women dancing around in bunless tights?Blenheim Augustine wrote:I hope they bring back the grunge spirit in Mach IV. I have had enough of this Discovery Channel stuff.

Re: Dance of the Clairvoyants
Does anyone need to pop a Pabst for their PAPT (pre album pop tension)?

Who here, other than myself, feels like they would track ed and stone down over this if just one minor circumstance of our lives became out of alignment? Who else would love to bump ed off his surfboard with a rubber great white fin? And how should Stone be disciplined?

Re: Dance of the Clairvoyants
I think that because I'm starting to get extremely impatient, I'm going to talk about the one thing that slightly bothers me about this song
Ed comes in on "imperceptibly big..." too early, and because they're generally going for an 80s synth pop quantized funk feel, I wish he came in precisely on the *and* of that beat; I really appreciate that this producer seems to have wanted a natural take on his vocal and eschewed BoB's many vocal filters, but quantizing this little moment wouldn't have hurt, imo

Re: Dance of the Clairvoyants
I think the 80s post-punk/funk, Talking Heads-esque vibe fits with a certain winding looseness in Ed's vocals.
I don't hear this as a "tight 80s pop song" kind of thing (thankfully).

yeah that's fair, I actually wish it wasn't sticking out to me, because "equally hard to control" is perfect again

Same. The second verse is perfect. All of it.
