By album my favorites are Black, Dissident, Immortality, In My Tree, Given to Fly, Sleight of Hand, Can’t Keep, Army Reserve, Force of Nature, and Infallible. This is band is so great. For all the shit we give them, I think their catalog and legacy stands up next to pretty much any band.
Kind of a weird list of favorites.
FoN is garbage but otherwise that's a baller list. I share a lot of it and wouldn't argue with most of it.

That’s the point. That’s my list. You go tier 2 and it’s Garden, Rats, Last Exit, Who You Are, In Hiding. Nothing as it Seems, You Are, Marker in the Sand, Amongst the Waves, and Yellow Moon. I love those songs too. This band has made so many different songs work. They’re a marvel. I feel legitimately privileged to have followed this band since album 1.

I heard SBWM tonight for the first time in a week and really liked it.

Found myself singing along quite happily. The part from “right now I feel........” thru to “love not withstanding we are each of us fucked” Is a highlight.

For what its worth i think its a damn solid list....Black, Immortality, In My Tree, Sleight of Hand are up there on my list as well. As far as the more recent output i think Force of Nature and to a slightly lesser extent Army Reserve is about as good as it gets over the last 3 albums.

It's the tasty single coil tone that reminds me of Backspacer, here. One of the better qualities of that record. You can really hear those fresh strings being pulled in by the magnet. Gonna See My Friend and The Fixer have are good examples, whatever you think of the songs. Something of a bright spot for me, I guess.

Very good point on both regards.

After my first listen of the entire album, this is easily my least favorite track.

I was already super into this, but the rest of the album has elevated this one. Can't compare or rank yet since I've heard this so much over the last few weeks and I'm on listen 3 for most of these
