Was listening to Double J’s Big Day Out podcast. They were talking about how close they were to securing Pearl Jam for 2001. They were like a week out from announcement when Roskilde happened, and Pearl Jam pulled out. They had to scramble for a quick, last-minute replacement headliner. They ended up with Limp Bizkit, and someone died during their set. Sick irony.
I didn't see anything here but Ed played an event last week in Las Vegas. It apparently was a private event for a tech company but with a portion of the proceeds going to a teenage cancer fund and EBRP.
For the record this appears to have been the set list.

When Ed leaves the band, Mayer will leave Dead & Company and tour with Stone, Jeff, Mike, and Adam Levine as drummer under the name Pearly Jam

saw a headline the other day that Eddie has cancer and it was just an article about the benefit. I'll let you guess where the headline came from.
