that i was wondering as well, but that segment was still awesome...i don't read rumors or anything, but i had this weird thought a month or so back about shane coming back

Raw started out awesome with Shane
Then New Day did their thing
Dean showing up in the ambulance was a great moment
Jericho/Styles I guess had to have some sort of payoff
then the show took a complete nose dive because the Usos suck, a rematch of the Wyatts from last night is kinda dumb, but parts of it were entertaining.
Sasha had a decent match at least
one of the few things that makes me actually root for Reigns is beating Sheamus, but I'm sick of seeing them fight.

Is Shane a placeholder in case Cena can somehow make it back on time?

I could see them changing it to Cena-Taker, but TBH, I'd rather see Shane-Taker now that they've teased that.

i forwarded through the reigns/sheamus match...and while i am and have always been a hhh hater, i do find it funny the crowd was cheering for him after beating down roman
