The Red Strokes is the best song recorded by a major American artist that wasn't a huge hit.

This is invariably one of those arguments that can't be won, but this track from Bruce always comes to mind whenever these sort of conversations comes up. Not only no hit, I don't even think he's ever played it live. Me though, I loves it. (Apologies in advance Spenno).

"Are You That Somebody?" just played on 90s on 9 and I would have guess that song was in 00-02 and was surprised to see it was 98. Crazy. Still sounds pretty fresh.

Heard this on the satellite radio on the way into work today and I really like it. I think Joey would too.

I did an RM search and it came up with nothing. You're all frauds.

You can't search RM for the words "hop" or "along", that's the problem.

Yeah, that album is great. It was a Jorge recommendation, as so many of my recommendations are.

Hop Along sounds like a band fronted by Peter Cottontail

I think I first heard about them from Mike. It might have been Kevin Davis, though. I think both of them talked them up in the same thread.

This was last year.

Hold on...

Here you go, Pete. It was July of last year that Mike and KD mentioned Hop Along and got me on board:

Radiohead fucked up with True Love Waits on the new album. That live version was quite lovely and uplifting and I think a similar studio take as that, simple acoustic with the little electro-organy thing, over Tom's more lively vocals, would have provided a far better bookend to the album, and played well against the opening quirkiness of Burn the Witch.

I think I'd rate the album far higher just for that single change.

Not gonna lie, never understood the rabid love for True Love Waits other than its obscurity
