You can't do a super max sign and trade.

Yes, I know that after reading the Twitter comments.
He could sign an extension and then be traded.
I dunno, where there's smoke, there's fire.

They could trade Jalen to Charlotte or Portland and he can resign there but he's forfeiting those super max dollars. If he wants out that bad he can go I'd be happy with Scoot. If he signs the super max they have to wait a year to trade him.

I'm not in favor of it...I'd like the C's to run it back with basically the same group one more time.
But he's sensitive and given his comments about the fans, etc earlier this year, he might just be tapping out.

We are at a disadvantage because our owners, while rich, are not super duper rich. They don't like to spend. That second apron in the new CBA is the real deal. If they resign Jalen they are gonna cut elsewhere not add. I'm not very optimistic. More and more I'm thinking now is the time to move on from Smart and Brown. Even if it means taking a step back next year. There's too much duplication of skills. I want Scoot.

Yeah, I listen to sports radio a lot and understand there's that second area.
It's fascinating to see what they will do...

So it appears that the C's can sign and trade Brown if:
The raise is under 5%
Contract is under 3 years in length

I doubt he'd agree to that it doesn't seem to be in his best interest. Even if he desperately wants out he should sign the super max suck it up for a year and then make himself a pain in the ass next summer so they have to move him.

Ayton is a pretty big downgrade from Brown IMO.

One rumor is Brogdon & Rob Williams for Ayton

I'd want more if I were the Suns, given Brogdon and Williams' injury history.

What if we forfeit - retroactively - the 1976 NBA Finals to the Suns?

Yup, Porzingis highlights are blowing up my feed right now.
I like the idea of Keeping Tatum and Brown and adding vs. choosing between one of them. Aggressive.

Feels like a pretty good lineup to me. As long as they play a lot of D. White, too.

Isn't Porzingis one of those season ending injury guys every year?
