Watched Bill & Ted Face the Music on the plane. Enjoyable enough for the situation but forgettable. Just like I’m sure I watched the second one but damn if I can remember anything about it.

It's not a life-changer but I really liked Face the Music. My wife hadn't seen the second one so we watched 1 and 2 before watching 3. We both agreed that 3 was a ton of fun and better than 2.

Kind of. It's a movie about killing yourself.

The Last Emperor. I had seen this the last time when I was a kid, and it was still, after all these years a great movie.
Warrior. I think the target audience is 13 year old boys. This was really, really bad.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Am honestly shocked at how much seeing Jesse Plemons in a trailer has become a good sign for me. Would not have thought that a decade and a half ago, while watching Landry on Friday Night Lights.

wtf, he was the best part of that show
I don't disagree, I just didn't expect to be thinking things like "I bet he elevates that Scorsese production."

Assassination Nation.

Some great work but the ending was a mess

its visually groundbreaking, as everything Levison does, and it contains so many themes it falls apart at the end. Its super abrupt and leaves you
dissatisfied. The build up to this big, huge finale is there and then its all resolved offscreen.

Odessa Young is such a talent tough.

Yeah I agree with that--the long shot where they're in the house as the mob starts to break in was stunning. I thought the speech at the end was really dopey--just trying too hard to make it pOlItIcAl but in a way that didn't really add anything (and the sudden appearance of the all-black drumline at the end was uhh odd).

Have you seen Shirley? Young was stunning in that (opposite Elizabeth Moss!). Sleeper for one of my favorite movies of last year.
