Mirella, can you by any chance remember violin / viola on Yellow Moon? If you can't, I'm really wondering if that's what the Vine clip was, because I'm sure I heard a violin on it.

I keep seeing references to the Vine clip, which I did see a long time ago; who or what has us so certain that it's a clip from a Lightning Bolt tune?

All I remember about Yellow Moon is in my review, and maybe some more in my notes that I did not include in it but that would not be anything important or clear. That vine clip does not remind me of any of the songs. But we will soon find out anyway.harmless wrote:Mirella, can you by any chance remember violin / viola on Yellow Moon? Nothing except that it sounds like Ed, and I think Jeff's in it? I might be wrong about that. And I think it was tweeted by someone involved with the recording in some way.guitar_davey wrote:harmless wrote:Mirella, can you by any chance remember violin / viola on Yellow Moon? Yep. Just had another listen. From hearing the live version of Future Days, I could see it being that. That said, I'm in no way convinced that it's even Ed's voice on it.

Did the Out of the Furnace contribution go anywhere or was it just Release?
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.

There's a mid-tempo drum rhythm happening to my ears, so I reckon we'll find out it's not even PJ. We haven't heard of another song featuring strings.guitar_davey wrote:Lament wrote:The vine was Joseph Arthur's, right?

While the song on that clip sounds pretty interesting in that tiny little snippet, I'm hoping that's not actually Yellow Moon, and instead YM is something a bit darker sounding.guitar_davey wrote:Lament wrote:The vine was Joseph Arthur's, right?

On a side note: I just installed Foxbrowser so I can continue to read my webpages, including this one, on my phone. I tried to post some pictures but they need to be online somewhere first, so I am trying something else now.

My notes/scribbles for Yellow Moon:

'net als' means 'just like', 'mooi' is Dutch for beautiful and 'langgerekt' means something like stretched long
