He (Cespedes) has a lot to learn still at the plate. Without looking I wanna say his OBP was under.300 last year which frankly is unacceptable. He has taken a step back at the plate since his rookie year but he has big time power potential and obviously is very good in the field. It'll be interesting to see how he develops the next couple years. My GF (who is Cuban) loves the guy.

I didn't realize just how bad they've been... 6-16 in their last 22 to let everyone in the division back in it. Yikes.

They're still the most talented team in the division and I can't see anyone else winning it by the end of the season.

Yeah, he just keeps dominating.

I still think it has to be Felix at the front right now. Sale is probably closest, but he has a bit of ground to make up because of the missed starts.

Hes really fun to watch pitch, the way he pitches / sets up hitters. I watched a couple of his starts last year in the WBC and knew hed be good.

Sale vs Max was fun to watch yesterday too.

I'm still reserving judgment on Tanaka until clubs have faced him 2-3 times. The Cubs got dominated by him the first time they faced him, and actually beat him the second.

Yeah we won't see how good Tanaka really is until after like 40-45 starts. He's no Yu Darvish that is for sure.

Even that's too early to tell. Tanaka's numbers this year are actually significantly better than Darvish's at this time in his first season.

I kinda think the 2nd year is when you find out what the deal is with the Japanese starters. Tanaka has been phenomenal this far, though.

While not as impressive as Cespedes' throw, Jackie Bradley made an insane throw to double up a runner last night.

Tanaka and Darvish are not in the same league as other Japanese starters, theyre not even in the same league as some of the American starters, they have legit no hit stuff no matter how many times other teams see them.

I go to the College World Series every year. I absolutely fell in love with JBJR (when he was at South Carolina) and how he plays the game. Good kid too. I think he will be damn good.

Let's assume they make the playoffs and have a home game on October 4.

Is that going to be an impossible ticket or would a visitor to the city be able to score a pair given that the team is in the playoffs every year?
