Well I guess one would say Vince is the boss, so it's not really about Taker "agreeing" to do it
I think I'm more bothered by the fact that it at least appears Taker is going to be doing an obvious job at WM

The fact that HHH got cheered so much speaks volumes about how bad the Reigns situation is. The crowd just doesn't like him and I don't think that's going to change unless they do the obvious thing and turn him heel. At this point, they might be better off having HHH beat him and set up a feud between Shane and HHH, with someone acting as Shane's proxy.

Just remember, their plan a few weeks ago was to have Taker face Braun Strowman at Mania. This is a massive improvement.

Rollins would be perfect, but I dunno if he'll be back soon enough.

as nonsensical as Shane vs Taker is, as long as shane can still do his thing i think it will be a fun match, the real kinda bad part of it IMO is the HiaC portion, they have pretty much always saved that for Grudge matches and endings to feuds, so there being no animosity between Shane and Taker at the moment kinda kills HiaC for me.....but with that being said, i am probably more excited for that match then any other on the card so far, i saw meme on facebook this morning of shane looking up at the giant screen at Cowboy stadium thinking that he was going to jump off of that

I've already been thinking about what kind of crazy spot Shane can do in a HIAC. Shane is essentially the greatest backyard wrestler of all time.

I do actually think there's a decent chance, like Norman said, that this is a placeholder while they wait and see if Cena can make it back.

I expect the Reigns/HHH match to involve The Rock and someone else, probably Michaels, as dueling cornermen or referees or something.

that doesnt make it any more exciting
i just dont see any excitement being able to be created for that match, i dont see them giving HHH a longer title reign, and while im not in any way a Reigns hater, him winning back the title at Mania does nothing for me, i would have been more excited to see Reigns/Brock 2 with another big time slugfest, i could get excited if Reigns got his ass kicked again only to come back and get the win over Brock but i couldnt care less about HHH/Reigns. and im way more excited for Ambrose/Brock anyway so i am glad the rematch from last years Mania didnt happen.

If Ambrose/Lesnar was the title match and HHH/Reigns was the street fight the whole thing would be so much better.

Yeah, there's a video of him reaching for a blood capsule. I thought the blood looked off as it was happening. In my opinion, if it's not real blood than don't bother.
People are speculating that they are writing him off tv to avoid having him booed out of the house for the month heading into Mania, but I don't see that.

that would be the epitome of desperately trying to get someone over

It's absolute madness. All we need now is a die roman, die chant.

i know they're not ready to give up on him as the new cena or face of the company...i'd prefer reigns as a heel, but honestly i'd still think he sucks

I would have had Reigns face Lesnar and have Heyman turn on Brock and help Reigns. You explain it by having Heyman say that Brock is getting old and Heyman needed to look to the future blah blah. I bet Reigns is over HUGE within a years time. If they had done this last year, Reigns would be over right now and would be the heel that the fans cheer for and want to turn face.
