thoughts on the slow play controversy? i can see where it would be annoying for playing partners and fans in attendance, but watching on tv i barely think about it

Slow play is the biggest problem facing amateur golf. Pros playing so slow is a definite factor in the problem. People try to emulate the guys they see on TV and take four minutes lining up their putts, when they can't even putt straight to begin with.

i haven't really experienced that
I've played with several amateurs over the years who routinely take 4-5 practice swings before every hit and line up putts multiple times. It's awful.
