Apparently trumps grandfather Frederick Trump died from Spanish flu.

This could explain a lot or raise even more questions

Poor old Higgs. What's he gonna do?
WA is restricting its alcohol sales, because it can’t have its police and emergency services responding to alcohol fuelled instances, while they are trying to keep the border lockdowned, and ensure people are self-isolating.

The new alcohol restrictions are:

Any person, per day, may purchase one carton of beer or one carton of cider or premixed spirits,

OR

three bottles of wine,

OR

one litre of spirits or one litre of fortified wine.

Purchasers may buy a combination of any two of those packages.

This is a sensible precaution while we’re in a state of emergency. This is all about public safety and assurance. We know it’s a stressful time for our community and we don’t want people buying to excess, we have seen that happen with other foods and supplies and I have had reports of people filling shopping trolleys right up with alcohol and this is a sensible precaution.

WA is keen to stress this is not prohibition, as residents can still buy up to 100 standard drinks a day, under the new restrictions

Just got a national emergency alert on my phone telling me that there's complete lockdown from tomorrow. Where we stay tonight is where we need to stay for the next four weeks at least. Guess this means I should stop looking at the surf report... At least I can still get out and go for run

Where do you live?

I feel like expecting anything less than 8-10 weeks in a lot of places (like where I live, Connecticut), is foolish.

What the hell is this supposed to mean?

Spain has been a disaster in the making for a good month now, but has gone a little unnoticed due to all focus on Italy. We could've taken lessons out of it. Lot of countries have. Others have not or have done so way too late (UK & Netherlands come to mind).

It's a US liberal cultural inferiority complex thing. Don't worry about it.

I have no problem you Americans fighting your little wars, but addressing "our superior continental European brethren" while rather arrogantly referring to a human disaster with 500+ dead people a day happening in Spain was not a really nice, human thing to do.

Believe me, we are not laughing at the potential disaster about to hit the US. Quite the contrary.

What's a carton of beer? Beers come in 1s, 4s, 6s, 12s, 15s, 18s, 24s, and 48s around here.

Prince Charles has caught it.
It is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks.
Yes, or how many people he has infected
