I totally disagree that there's nothing you could add to SBM. So does BO'B.

It might be a completely different song, only with the same title.EJ wrote:The uke version is 2 minutes. We have no idea how long this one is.southp wrote:I think it's meant as filler. It could, but the impression that PJ guy gave a few months ago was to expect one of the "uke songs" on the album. I forget if he said SBM, specifically but may have confirmed it later. He was the guy who had heard a few of the songs, including Sirens. This was before anyone knew anything about the album.

I don't NEED this album at all, but as long as PJ influence what happens to it more than BOB, I like the song a lot so will enjoy it.southp wrote:And did you really need to see what that something is?harmless wrote:I totally disagree that there's nothing you could add to SBM. So does BO'B.

Re: Lightning Bolt -- guess the tracks!
it will be the same song reworked, but that could still result in a completely different song. maybe they liked the lyrics so they are the same and the reason for the title staying the same, but the music is not even close to the sameEJ wrote:enimmi wrote:It might be a completely different song, only with the same title.EJ wrote:The uke version is 2 minutes. Re: Lightning Bolt -- guess the tracks!
I'm talking from an opportunity cost perspective. I WANT new Pearl Jam songs, and by getting an EV song we've already heard, that means another Cold concession ended up in the archives.harmless wrote:I don't NEED this album at all, but as long as PJ influence what happens to it more than BOB, I like the song a lot so will enjoy it.southp wrote:And did you really need to see what that something is?harmless wrote:I totally disagree that there's nothing you could add to SBM. For the record I like SBM and I'm sure I'll enjoy it too.

This thread needs some positivity: I am happy about Sleeping By Myself being on the album because the song is gorgeous and I am interested to see what they're doing with it.

Or maybe adding Sleeping By Myself kept a song like Supersonic off the record!southp wrote:I'm talking from an opportunity cost perspective. They could add some cheese strings to SBM. Try to make one of those crossovers hits were everyone talks about that song.
That´s the only idea i have about this song being on the album.

wait, what? we wait 4 years for a new albumn and they put a song that is already released on an ed solo record on the album?
they must be REALLY short on material.

If OTE is on this album, everybody can come to Brazil and kick me in the nuts.
Then we'll have some beer (or whiskey, if you prefer).
