It could, but the impression that PJ guy gave a few months ago was to expect one of the "uke songs" on the album. I forget if he said SBM, specifically but may have confirmed it later. He was the guy who had heard a few of the songs, including Sirens. This was before anyone knew anything about the album.

I don't NEED this album at all, but as long as PJ influence what happens to it more than BOB, I like the song a lot so will enjoy it.

it will be the same song reworked, but that could still result in a completely different song. maybe they liked the lyrics so they are the same and the reason for the title staying the same, but the music is not even close to the same

I'm talking from an opportunity cost perspective. I WANT new Pearl Jam songs, and by getting an EV song we've already heard, that means another Cold concession ended up in the archives.

For the record I like SBM and I'm sure I'll enjoy it too.

This thread needs some positivity: I am happy about Sleeping By Myself being on the album because the song is gorgeous and I am interested to see what they're doing with it.

Or maybe adding Sleeping By Myself kept a song like Supersonic off the record!

i didnt love the idea at first, but its on there so am definitely excited to see how it turned out. and the album is gonna be great guys

They could add some cheese strings to SBM. Try to make one of those crossovers hits were everyone talks about that song.
That´s the only idea i have about this song being on the album.
