I haven't seen Watchmen or Guardians.

Most of critical think pieces I've read that are critical of the film argue that the film runs into trouble in practice because the superman that appears on screen doesn't actually embody any of the qualities that you describe in your review.
I'll certainly be watching for that when I see it. Nicely written

When you see similar yet inferior movies get rave reviews you can't help think that this one was judged based on the negative pre-release narrative than the actual product itself. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets a more positive reevaluation down the line.

what is a similar but inferior movie that got rave reviews, Bada?
Good lord, the last hunger games movie was absolutely horrid.bada wrote:stip wrote:bada wrote:Feels like a lot of critics went into the movie with their reviews already written. I was thinking of Ant Man, Avenger 2, Skyfall, Jurassic World. Looks like the most recent Hunger Games is a triumph. Some of those I enjoyed but are they really leaps and bounds better than BvS?

Yeah I am amazed at that. Maybe they were just so happy it was all over that they wrote positive about it.bada wrote:E.H. The critics appear to disagree.

Watchmen is fantastic.Kaius wrote:I haven't seen Watchmen or Guardians.
I would. It is approximately a million times better than Ant-Man on a number of different levels.bada wrote:I'm not interested in arguing that someone should like this movie more than say Ant-Man
