I wouldn’t write skywalker off just yet though.
And I say that after a year of being poo pood by each of you about Ahsoka being in this.
It’ll work.
That's bullshit and you know it. We didn't poo poo you shit Ahsoka at all.

Are we post-search for Ezra? It would appear so.

If Bo has been communicating with Ahsoka, and Ahsoka has settled on the forest planet that was mentioned, that would seem to indicate that the search for Ezra, whether successful or not, has been completed.

Seems like the kind of thing a five season animated show will do a great job of explaining.

You just blew my mind.

Nope

In March you posted the "news" via a Slashfilm (whom is often just clickbait) link.

I said:
epilogue wrote:I want this to be true. But I need to hear it confirmed officially from a source like Star Wars for com before I freak out.
Then you followed to with:
dimejinky99 wrote:Variety is also confirming it. It's looking more and more like the real deal. https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/rosari ... 1203540472
My response to a more trusted source link?
epilogue wrote:AHSOKA LIVES!!!!

God please let this be real and come to fruition. This is fucking awesome!!!

I want this to be true so badly!!
I was still cautious only because there was no official SW announcement. But I believed it was probably true. I just didn't want to get my hopes all the way up to have them dashed by Lucasfilm later.

There is general excitement about this over the next page or so of this very thread. Then there's this:

VinylGuy wrote:how do you guys feel about Rosario Dawson playing her?
LOVE it.

Perfect choice for the time period.
The closest thing to anyone "poo pooing" you is:
E.H. Ruddock wrote:Yeah I wouldn't expect more than an episode or two of Ahsoka. They aren't going to have her in too much because she is so popular, but the show is about the Mandolorian. She'll have an appearance, perhaps for what dime suggested to hand off the kid. This will also set up Rosario to play her in the future hopefully in her own series or a movie.
As you can see, that's hardly giving you a hard time about the news.

No one gave you shit. At all. And I certainly didn't cheerlead anything other than a desire to see my favorite character in this show.

I know I was saying it in jest :)

I’m wondering how they’re gonna do this? How do you explain to joe public who she is? She’ll probably hammer the ‘I’m no jedi’ bit. But after that I can’t see how they handle it

It's a great question. I don't know that they need to do much really. Just introduce her to the wider audience with little fanfare. Don't hit the nail too hard on the head. Just like what they did with Bo Katan.

Those who know Ahsoka will be thrilled, those that don't will get to know her through this and then maybe go seek out other stories from there.

That's what I did. I got introduced to her via Rebels and then went back to watch Clone Wars because I loved the character.

Why does she need to be explained to Joe Public? The Mandalorian wasn't. The black lightsaber wasn't. Bo Katan wasn't. Boba Fett (or his armor) wasn't.

Exactly.

Just tell the story you want to tell. Don't worry about the rest. That other stuff with take care of itself.

Good point wease.
They probably don’t want to drag all the Jedi of it all into it if they can avoid it I guess. No better lady to do it with.

This is funny. The mon cal on the docks was wearing an aran sweater. From the aran islands off the west coast here. Fishing is the thing. Each family had their own specific pattern so that Would identify any fisherman should he drown at sea. And it’s in star wars :)

Thats more like it!

YOu'd have to kill of Ahsoka Tano though right? I can't really imagine a world where Ahsoka Tano and Rey Skywalker exist.

Just a random thought I guess.

Also would be difficult to also not have a Luke somehow in this series at some point. If we are post ROTJ and will now be utilized Ahsoka Tano, i personally feel the story needs to be related to both Luke Skywalker and the time period of Force Awakens after it is all said and done.

and yes yes yes very very curious how this is going to play out! I mean, they did just casually drop her name though maybe people were expecting it so hard anyway why drag it out? Or maybe she isn't a bing reveal of this season. Maybe there is something else that has been super under wraps?

TFA is so long after the timeframe of this show right now. I'd actually be surprised if we cover that much time in this series. I'd love to see Luke involved somehow, eventually, but I also don't see why it's necessary. Would be super cool though.

And as far as Ahsoka's death... not necessarily. Filoni was quick to point out after TROS that we've seen living people reach out with the Force (think Luke in cloud city reaching out to Leia) without being dead or having become one with the Force.

She may be dead by then but it's also just as possible/likely that she's not. Though, if she's not, then they really are gonna have to work some storytelling magic to explain why the fuck she isn't there helping the Resistance. And that will be a tough sell, I think.

Yea, thats fine with TFA. What are we 15-20 years out?

Though there needs to be something about luke. We don't need to see him but i really hope this is addressed. If Ahsoka Tano is alive and well here, then there needs to be a reason why she wasn't involved with the Rebel Alliance by the time ROTJ. I mean, Yoda, Luke, retraining of the jedi, darth vader being taken down by Skywalker and Ahoska is just hanging out in some forest being like "Nah we'ere cool my ex lover was just destroyed by the emperor and his son who he had with another ho instead and im a powerful jedi and whatever"
