Getting fired is a known side effect of being canceled

but they arent one in the same

to say i was fired for a job for under performing is not the same as saying i was canceled (at least not in the way the term is used here)

what happened with this guy is he is alleged to have done some fairly illegal stuff. so they fired him

Really don't get the argument you're trying to make here. Justin Roiland was canceled on account of the charges against him coming to light as well as the inappropriate DMs that surfaced. If you were on Twitter at all when they were coming to light, you would recognize it as a clear cancelation. Shortly after his cancelation, he was fired by Adult Swim. One does not negate the other

i may be naive but if the stuff on twitter wasnt so public i would think adult swim would still have fired him once they were presented with the accusations

not everyone who gets fired is "cancelled" in the definition that has come to play out over the past 5-6 years
