I don't care if it leaks tonight but I am off to bed. Had a night and day from hell. First nightmares about our horrible upstairs neighbour, then I woke up tired, made it to my car in time, but there were red lights and alarms and smoke, and I could not drive. Called the garage but they were not open yet. Waited and then called again, and (good thing) found out I had some kind of extra service because I always go there. Volkswagen mobility or something. So I called that. Problem was that I needed a certain service booklet, and I could not find it. Found it after a while and some frantic searching in a box, and called again. Then I had to wait an hour for them to call me back. Turned out the original garage was ordered to handle this, so I got my 'own' mechanic. He asked me to bring them the key so they could pick up the car later. Could have saved me an hour that way. So, then I had to cycle all the way to work, which is 19 km away. And my condition is pretty bad lately. Arrived at 10:30 instead of 8:00, so it was a very busy day. Then right before I wanted to leave, someone had an important letter they needed to be language-checked and printed, so I had to stay after that to finish my 'normal' work. Oh, and the car will be extremely expensive to repair, around my monthly salary, so I chose to make it just as expensive as really necessary, and let the other half wait a couple of months. Then I had to cycle back, and I went as slow as you can not even imagine. A co-worker passed me by and he said "jesus! do you always cycle this slow?" I don't. It was like I had two flat tires. And no energy. Anyway, I got some support from my boyfriend because he cycles too and the last part of my track is his as well. It took me one and a half hour in total, including two short breaks. Back at home he fed the cats and cleared some poop while I cooked, and after dinner I finished my work by logging in from home. A neighbour had also visited, calling me by a wrong name, just to ask if he could pick the apples from our tree because it would be a waste if they just fell and rotted away.
