You must not be watching much if you think either of them aren’t playing at a high level right now
I admit I haven’t been totally plugged in. Just caught a few games here and there. Maybe I’m being to judgmental of the old guys.
If anything, the current crop of older superstars (Lebron, Curry, Chris Paul, KD) have aged better than any generation before them thanks to better habits and modern medicine.

For sure. They're still crazy outliers even compared to other star but not superstar level players. KD especially coming back from an achilles.

This Jimmy stuff still sucks. Top 3 Heat player of all-time, has given me many of my favorite sports moments, and yet still at the end of the day Jimmy being Jimmy now ruins everything. I don't hate him but I'm also in my feelings enough to not want him to succeed in getting to the Suns.

As a Packers fan and former Aaron Rodgers fan, I understand those feels and sympathize.

No. They should limit reviews to only the last two minutes of the game and cut the number of timeouts by 2-3. That would be the most effective way to shorten games. If they're feeling really wild, try "shoot 1 to make 2" for free throws for the first 46 minutes of games.

Lots, depends how deep you want to go. At one level: ego, pride, money, power, respect. But specific details:
--Riley saying that players who weren't playing should shut their mouth (in response to Jimmy saying the Heat would have beaten the Knicks and Celtics in the playoffs if he were playing).
--Heat refusing to offer him another max extension this offseason, Riley insinuating that Jimmy doesn't play enough and needs to be more consistently available.
--Jimmy (allegedly) being frustrated with the lack of help Riley has gotten him over the past several years.

This was all before the season. Reportedly, the Heat and Jimmy had a good thing in preseason and the Heat assumed everything was fine, they had an agreement to discuss his extension in the summer and he was good being here. According to a local Heat beat reporter everything changed immediately following the Suns-Heat game and Jimmy basically started to try to force his way out. I haven't seen that version of the story nationally, but then again I've been too busy and haven't followed national NBA stuff as closely as usual so maybe that story is out there, idk.

The story from Jimmy's camp for the in-season change of heart is that the Heat were running the offense through Herro and Bam so he decided if he's gonna be a third wheel he'd rather be that for KD and Booker than Herro and Bam. Allegedly, Spo/Riley/somebody insinuated to Jimmy that they didn't think he was giving his best effort on the floor and that seems to be the most proximate cause of his outlandish behavior and suspension cycle that we're in now.

I just can't believe this is the best the Mavs could get for Luka (assuming they didn't want to pay the supermax and are concerned about his injuries/conditioning). AD is a HOF player, but Luka has a chance to be one of the best 5-10 offensive players of all time!

I've been a NBA junkie for decades...over the last year or so I've been losing almost all interest in the league. My team won the championship and it bored me....if they are losing me the league is in trouble. I think they know interest is way down. Silver has to be involved. It's a really dumb trade by the Mavs. It makes no sense. One first round pick? Maybe they are that stupid but come on the league has to be in the mix on this right? MAKE THE LAKERS GOOD AGAIN. They should have done it in the middle of Super Bowl week. Wonder what the next move with be. Denver trades Jokic to the Lakers for Austin Reeves and a 2nd round pick. OK that was fun back to not caring ha.

What do you think has led to your lack of interest? I find my interest is waning in all sports, but it's most likely due to age and other commitments more than anything.
