The longer it takes Iowa to release their results the less it will matter in terms of a perceived bounce for any candidate. The candidates that stood the most to gain from Iowa were Buttigieg and Klobuchar if they over performed- but that perceived win could go over the heads of the next line of voters in New Hampshire, especially if the media kills enthusiasm by reporting on this to death over a number of cycles. It feeds into cynicism of the primary and caucus system the more we obsess over awaiting the results rather focus on the collective strengths of the candidates’ competing visions.

Correct. Its only a matter of time until Trump feels left out of the national conversation and he will say something mildyl retarded and we can all go back to normalcy.

We're in the same year as the election, and it still feels like none of these candidates have it in them to rally enough people to their message and defeat Trump. I'm not excited about anybody. I've settled in and accepted it probably will be Trump again for 4 more years.

ballsy move by mayor pete to declare himself the winner. If he isn't, that might be something he doesn't come back from.

A fun narrative floating around last night:
And the name of the app company is...wait for it..."Shadow".

The real winner in this is Biden. Instead of having to spend all day answering questions about his campaign imploding, he can just sneak out of Iowa while the main story is about the app.

Bingo. I didn't expect him to score so low.

Pulling out is never an effective method of election control.
