Dust jackets for hardcover books. Hate em! Books almost always look better without them. I know they provide protection but I hate dealing with them

I started throwing mine away.

I collect first editions of my favorite sci fi books, and many of them were published in the 60's and 70's, where seemingly all of them have the dust jackets. While I don't care for dust jackets, a lot of the older sci fi ones have really cool, dated graphics on them. So I generally keep them for those books but for anything else I throw away.

Do you guys also throw away liner notes from your favorite albums?

I keep the dust jackets but I take them off when reading.
