I wasn't gung ho about the Biden Justice Department investigating Trump, but these "pre-emptive pardons" makes me think that they should look really, REALLY closely at his kids.

If the Biden Justice Department doesn't go after him, which is what I expect will be the case, then all we've done is set precedent that everything Trump has done is ok.

It's a difficult position to be in. What you have is millions of nutbags who already think Biden stole the election. If Biden a DOJ goes after Trump and his family immediately I worry about what would happen. Civil unrest, polarized gridlock, ect.

i think they have to especially if turmp does pardon his kids and others

Depends on how solid NYC's case is. I can easily see Biden/DOJ being off the hook for Federal crimes if NYC has the goods and prosecutes.

I could also see a back-room style deal in which Trump agrees never to run for office again in exchange for no federal prosecution.
