This is not a jab at Dime and his often noted bad timing, but these guys,, "The Good Liars" have been doing A+ work for years now.

Seriously. They're awesome. I'm glad Dime posted it. Not sure why I hadn't before. Maybe I felt like it would get drowned out in the Meme thread. They were great trolling Marco Rubio about stealing the guys girlfriend:

His rebuttal, to save face with people supporting him, "I didn't even win NH!"

Haha.

We should get a pool going who Trump will pardon preemptively: himself, Melanie, Don Jr, Eric, Ivanka, Jared, Jared’s father, and Rudy.

He should start trolling and pardon Hillary for the murder of Seth Rich.

Can you get a pardon before you've been charged for a specific crime?

Yeah, kinda stupid otherwise isn't it? Kinda like a license to go commit the federal crime of your choosing.

Unless the pardon is as at that specific date, so would only be available to use for crimes already committed but as yet unspecified.

"The full extent of a president's power to pardon has not been fully resolved. Pardons have been used for presumptive cases, such as when President Gerald Ford pardoned Richard Nixon, who had not been charged with anything, over any possible crimes connected with the Watergate scandal,[7] but the Supreme Court has never ruled on the legality of such pardons.[8] There is disagreement about how the pardon power applies to cases involving obstructions of an impeachment.[9] And the ability of a president to pardon himself (self-pardon) has never been tested in the courts, because, to date, no president has ever taken that action.[10]"

So sayeth wikipedia. I don't know.

Why even risk it? He can resign on January 19th and have Pence pardon him and his kids, thus fucking up all the #46 swag that Biden has ordered.

I think it's been discussed in this thread before, but why the hell would Pence agree to do this?

Why not? Everyone already hates him for being the sniveling ass-kisser that he is. He has nothing to lose and 70,000,000 Trump voters to gain.

But even Ford giving Nixon a pardon was over a specific event.....kind of. What are the Trump's getting pardons for, or is it just a blanket thing? I don't understand. How come Marlania doesn't get one?

He wouldn't. It's a ridiculous suggestion.

Mike...please pardon me and my kids. Oh for what? Good question, do I have to pick just one or multiple? One. Ok, just pardon us all for screwing the country and our supporters with out even a reach around. That should cover it

"It is important for the country that we move forward and not dwell on supposed crimes that the previous President's adversaries have imagined. It is for that reason that I am issuing a pardon for all crimes that may have been committed by former President Donald Trump, his children, Donald Jr., Eric, and Ivanka, and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Democrats will now have no choice but to view their efforts to harass former President Trump as his family as the fruitless waste of time that they are."

Don't act like that isn't absolutely possible. It's more reasonable than half of the crap this administration has pulled.

That's what's interesting about it to me. I think it would be for the "Russia Stuff." But doing so is tantamount to an admission that there is "Russian Stuff" to be pardoned.

It's certainly possible. But I don't see how it's likely at all. Trump isn't going to resign. It makes him look weak. Whether or not it's reasonable to reasonable minds, it's not something that's reasonable to him.

The odds are much higher that he'll pardon himself and everyone else. The question then will be whether or not we find out if that's something he can really do.
