"Work" is just insanely good -- every line is like its own hook with its own contours and its own unique melodic qualities. For such a minimalist song there is so much happening in it. My vote for best track of 2016, bar none.

i just listened to it to see what was up. i recognize that song from the radio. nope, can't get past her voice. would have liked it as an instrumental though, but then it wouldn't be a rihanna track.

plus, I don't understand the whole Drake thing.

True story: I did not know she had a Barbados accent until the VMAs. Now I hear how obvious it is in her singing and I feel stupid.

Yeah one thing I like a lot about her singing is that almost Caribbean slur (I know Barbados is not technically in the Caribbean but). Even her blander pop songs have this cool dancehall slant to them because of her voice and delivery.
