I've watched this once - and for what it is, I didn't think it was all that bad.

Is it just a concert movie like LatG, or is it more like IiC?

I've got a thing for Ed's ITW and US stuff so I presume it's enjoyable.

I remember he fucked up the song I most wanted to hear (Sometimes) and that Hard Sun is kind of a lame closer. And there were songs inbetween. I'm not really an Ed solo fan, though.

Is that the one with blackbird? If it is, I only ever heard that and I ran screaming away.

I wasn't watching the video, just listening to the audio while I worked. I had to turn it off because I found it really tough to listen to. The vocals were really sloppy, and his guitar playing is really ridiculously clumsy. I kept hearing all these great things about Ed's solo shows, so I was expecting it to be good.

I think the problem with Ed solo shows is he just plays them like he's playing a Pearl Jam show. I wish the band wasn't sloppy live, but the drunken party vibe works better with a band than at a solo show.

Watched Water in the road again, and i love it. Love his vocals...and his guitar parts. I dont find it rough or bad at all.

Besides, its very well done, and Brendan Canty plays drums on a song...so, yeah.

ed solo shows are awesome but that dvd sucks. maybe that's why he didn't release it when it was initially filmed.

I don't know that it sucked but i never went back for a second viewing and I loved my solo show and the boots (and don't think they are played like full band shows)

Ed's solo shows are generally dry and predictable. Those C Average shows were pretty cool though.

the funniest part of the ed solo dvd is when he looks up and smiles asking for applause after the 'society' solo. he looks like such a nerd.
