oh shit

I'm not 100% sure which is why I was asking. The strongest support is that she died around the actual super blood wolf moon last year (she passed on Jan 15, was buried I think on Jan 23 and the moon was on the 20/21st). "Superblood wolfmoon... took her away too soon."

Then other lines like "I can hear you sing in the distance, I can see you when I close my eyes" and "Don't allow for hopelessness" and "this life I love is going way too fast" and "she was a stunner and I am stunned" all seem as though they could support that idea.
wow, you're right

Honestly, I think this makes me like the song even more. It takes on a new dimension and meaning that I can really connect to. It also give a different weight to some of the clunkier lyrics.

Yeah, even if Ed wasn't intentionally writing about her, I'm just gonna go ahead and say the song is about her. :luv:

Here's the "Official" lyrics since there's been some confusion in parts...

Well done.

Good theory too for whoever said it. Agree it enhances the lyrics.

I don't know anything about this woman, or the cranberries, or PJ/Ed's relationship to her/them. Can someone illuminate how these lines could apply to her? Well except for the title words of the song. I got that.

I think it's drawing the world's longest bow to think this song has anything to do with the singer from the Cranberries.

forgive me father, it's been 7 years since my last confession. i'd like to confess that... that... this song fucking rules.

i never hated it, just gave it a rather tepid 3 stars, put it up for contender of the album's worst.

i was wrong. for a variety of reasons, this slowly clicked into place and went boom tonight at 7pm.

it's a whole lot of fun and i'm all the way in.

i know. it happened to me too. it really helps if you play it loud and pay attention. if you passively have it on in the background, it sucks.
